Chapter 5 - Encounter

Steve looked grimly through the binoculars

He recognized the volvo, his ex-wife Tara, drove instantly

Tara, dressed in a red dress, climbed up the tower immediately

Steve stood there waiting for her. "Why are you here? How did you find me?" Steve asked immediarely

"Oh Steve, I've looked everywhere for you for 2 years! I.. found you through the VA. They had files that you joined the Park Rangers... why did.. why did you vanish like that?" she cried

"You.. really don't know why I vanished?" Steve asked

"I.. know you caught us. But the way you just disappeared without a trace... I love you" Tara said

"Look, the lawyer's letters were clear. I divorced you years ago. I let you take the house, the car, our savings. We are done" Steve said

"N..no. I won't accept that. I love you. I miss you. I want you back" Tara said

"No! Steve ours now" Mandy interrupted. "That's right "Kirsune agreed

"Who are they? Have you moved on already? Are they your//" Tara asked

"It's no longer any of your business. But yes... they are. I no longer want you, or need you anymore. I have a new life now. Go back to Matt!" Steve said

"N.no. Matt was a mistake. He looked for you too, you know. He wanted to come today too, but we didn't know how you would take seeing us together. I wanted to see you alone. We are no longer together... that time you caught us was just.." Tara said

"Let me guess. Just one time? So happen the day I came back was the unfortunate time that you guys just hooked up? In my bed? Am I to believe that?" Steve asked

"No. We had seen each other for 2 years, since you were deployed overseas. I was... lonely" Tara admitted

"Two years. So we got married before I got deployed, and you've been fucking my best friend ever since, for my whole deployment while I risked my life for the country. And you want me back?" Steve asked

"No, It's not like that. I was suffering depression and I called Matt over, because he is your best friend. And then, one thing led to another... " Tara said

"And so you fucked him. For telling me you want me back, you're doing a terrible job at it" Steve said

"No.. I... just came to bring you back with me. To our lives together. You have to forgive me. I'm so sorry" Tara said

"No! Steven is ours now" Kitsune said. "Yes. Steve not go with you" Mandy said. "As you can see, I don't want to go with you. I have a life here now" Steve said
